trekking in the Cordillera camp baņo de barro 2.400 m altitude members of the expedition Laguna El Cepo

Walking in the Cordillera of the Andes, following paths made over the time by men and animals.

In order to define the trekking route we consider: physical state of the participants, type of terrain, duration of the walk, necessity of water, food and climatic conditions.

The routes are based on the transitions different immigrants have made in this region (paths over the mountains to Argentina, shepherds changing meadows for their cattle, travels just out of sheer delight, something the men of this region used to do, on horseback; transfer to the "fiesta of the virgin of Andacollo", and others).

We can offer you different routes, dependent on the level of the group and the number of days you want to trek.

Some of the attractions you will find during our exursions are:

  • Alternative paths in the Cordillera with cultural links
  • Lagunas of the high cordillera
  • Landscapes with a variety of colours and texture (minerals, clay)
  • Cliffs
  • Mountain springs
  • Herbs of the Cordillera (identification of local names and attitudes)
